Kentucky State Fair
The Kentucky State Fair is returning August 18-28, 2011. Offering all-day adventures of family fun for more than 100 years, the Kentucky State Fair has captured the hearts of fairgoers everywhere with its wide selection of exhibits, rides, food, crafts, animals, competitions, music, games and entertainment of every kind.
Parking: Parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center is $8 for vehicle.
Exhibit and gate hours: Gates open at 7 a.m. and exhibits open at 9 a.m.
The midway and tents close around midnight and exhibit halls close at 10 p.m.
Thrillway hours: Weekdays (Monday through Thursday) - Open at 2 p.m.
Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) - Open at Noon

"Another Earth" William Mapother Q&A
William Mapother will be holding a Q&A session in his hometown of Louisville, KY on Friday, August 19th and Saturday the 20th after the 7:40PM showings of "Another Earth" at the Baxter Theater!
He is a National Director of the Screen Actors Guild, a co-founder of the Flyover Film Festival in Louisville, KY, and a spokesperson for the Awareness of Elder Abuse. Prior to acting, Mapother taught grades seven through twelve in East Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and graduated with a bachelor of arts in literature from University of Notre Dame. He lives in Los Angeles.
