Chef and restaurateur Huong “CoCo” Tran’s newly opened Roots continues her passion for serving inventive and flavorful vegetarian food. The menu consists of Asian and a few Mediterranean influenced small plates. Try the crispy potato nest filled with bok choy, green peas, yellow squash, carrots and broccoli.
Find this joint on the sunny side of the Ohio and find barbecue done right. From moist slices of brisket to a wonderfully smoky tofu sandwich, plus sides of collard greens and macaroni and cheese. Get there early to avoid the long lines.
This is the only place in town where an expertly crafted beer list is served in a former church, complete with an upstairs bar called the Choir Loft. The menu consists of snack-sized portions of bar food like scotch eggs and chorizo tacos. It would be a sin not to take the beer pairing recommendations on the menu.
