Jack’s is the more casual, lounge area attached to sister restaurant Equus. Have a seat on one of the comfortable leather couches and order from a menu of dressed up American classics. Absolutely don’t miss the cocktails mixed by longtime bartender Joy Perrine.
This brewpub, located in the heart of St. Matthews, is the latest in this expanding, Lexington-based group. Lunch and dinner is classic bar food — like hot wings, shrimp poppers, burgers and ribs. The beer list includes the big American brands plus 24 microbrews. We hear it’s a happening late-night spot, too.

This Chinese restaurant has been a St. Matthews staple for years. Traditional dishes, like braised duck web, may be a stretch for some, but the Oriental House beef and Chinese broccoli are also satisfying.
