Food and great Cardinal memories come together at this restaurant near Freedom Hall devoted to U of L sports. Each booth has its own small TV. Specialties include baby-back ribs and fresh salmon, as well as the “Walk of Fame” salad.
Porcini, named for the flavorful mushroom featured in many of its dishes, serves upscale Northern-Italian inspired dishes. Menu standouts include the strip steak with Gorgonzola butter and rack of lamb with bourbon and rosemary jus.
This small, intimate restaurant is an offshoot of Wiltshire Pantry, a local catering company. Plan to be surprised by the menu, as it changes weekly. One sure thing, though: It always includes a meat, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian selection.
