Zanzabar is a hip little bar famous for bringing well known musicians to Louisville while providing a fun atmosphere to take in a night of music. When the news Diego Garcia hit the calendar, his fans scrambled to get tickets. The night promised fun and good music for all in attendance.
Garcia took the stage with two mates, while fans staked claim to floor space around the stage. Fans of Garcia’s new found solo material flocked to Zanzabar where there was little room to walk. Smooth, tropic inspired original music began to flow throughout the Z-Bar and fans welcomed Garcia to Louisville with much deserved applause.
Calm and soothing vocal arrangements added serenity to his orchestra-esque musical stylings. Garcia played with passion and belief in his music; his dedication prevalent to the audience. His solo material is a departure from his offerings as front-man for the now disbanded Elefant. The new music offers the listener the opportunity to enter his world, and know his truth about love and life.
Diego is on tour in support of his first solo offering, Laura, which features the single, “You Were Never There”, Diego commented, “The song is lyrically centered around the idea of being in love with someone that isn't in your life anymore, getting some things of your chest, and hoping they feel the same way wherever they may be." The support shown by his fans is substantial. Many fans in Louisville anxiously await his return.
