Dress for Success Louisville is holding its annual "Suit and Salad" Luncheon, November 1, 2011 at The Galt House Hotel and Suites. This year’s theme for the luncheon is 'Turning over a New Leaf', which honors thousands of women who as a result of the help from the programs, have themselves been able to turn over a new leaf.
Keynote speaker for the event will be fashion designer Alex Garfield. Alex is the owner of Peace of Cloth, an NYC based brand that has been working with Dress for Success for 10 years. Peace of Cloth is a perfect fit for the Dress for Success program. “What makes Peace of Cloth unique as a company is more than just how great we fit. After all, our customers expect a perfect fit. It’s the love that comes with each and every article of clothing...the compassion and humility in every fiber of every garment.”
Dress for Success Louisville Executive Director Betty J. Fox is looking forward to the expertise Mr. Garfield will provide for the event."We are thrilled that he is willing to come all this way to support the Louisville affiliate. "Fox says.
The highlight of the luncheon will, as always be the fashion show and this year is no exception. Models will be gracing the runway and showcasing the Peace of Cloth brand which is the inspiration for the show.
In addition to the Fashion Show and keynote speech, there will also be a silent auction and be addressed by Honorary Chair, Dr. Alex Gerassimides and Louisville native and Dress for Success Worldwide supporter, Rosalyn Taylor O'Neale.
Doors open for the Silent Auction at 11:15 am in The Galt House East, Ballroom B and C. Lunch will be served at noon and the event concludes at 1:30 pm.
