The Cincinnati Reds went into Spring Training looking for a leftfielder.

The Reds were set in right field with former Bat Jay Bruce, while Drew Stubbs had the inside track on center after his strong finish to the ‘09 season, but “Who’s in left?” was one of several questions facing the team as players reported to Arizona in late February.

The Louisville Bats capped off an incredible, and improbable, 2010 regular season Monday.

Here is a look back at the Top 10 moments of the 2010 season so far, as the Bats prepare for their best-of-five playoff series that begins at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday night against the Durham Bulls at Louisville Slugger Field.

Chapman gets the call, heads to Reds [Sports]

Aroldis Chapman (left), the left-handed pitching phenom for the Louisville Bats, is expected to be called up by the parent Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. At least he left some lasting memories for Louisville fans, including his going-out-in-a-blaze-of-glory 105-mile-per-hour fastball in his last appearance for the Bats.

At least Aroldis Chapman left Louisville with something to remember him by...a 105-mile-per-hour fastball.

The Louisville Bats' left-handed pitching phenom hit that triple-digit number on the radar gun at Louisville Slugger Field last Friday night in the ninth inning against the Columbus Clippers. As it turns out that will likely be the last time we see Chapman in a Bats' uniform. He is expected to be called up by the parent Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.

Chapman, Dorn, Castillo key Bats' ninth as they beat Clippers 2-1 [Sports]

Highly-touted pitching prospect Aroldis Chapman (left) a threw a 105 mile-per hour fastball, and struck out the side, in the top of the ninth inning then Danny Dorn made a key baserunning play and Wilkin Castillo delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth as Louisville beat Columbus 2-1 at Louisville Slugger Field. The victory gives the Bats a 1 1/2-game lead over the Clippers in the International League West with 10 games to play.

Aroldis Chapman brought the heat, Danny Dorn brought the baserunning and Wilkin Castillo brought the big hit in the ninth inning Friday night for the Louisville Bats.

Harang hammered as Louisville's home-win streak ends [Sports]

In his second rehab starter Aaron Harang was rocked for six earned runs and nine hits in six innings as the Syracuse Chiefs beat the Louisville 8-1 Friday night to end the Bats' franchise-best 14-game winning streak at Louisville Slugger Field. Despite the loss, though, Louisville remains just a half-game behind Columbus in the International League West.

Aaron Harang got hammered again and the Louisville Bats managed only three hits as their franchise-best home win streak came to an end.

The Syracuse Chiefs scored six earned runs in six innings off Harang, in his second rehab start with the Bats, on their way to an 8-1 win in front of 8,915 Friday night at Louisville Slugger Field.

Home still sweet for the Bats [Sports]

In their first home game since Aug. 8 the Louisville Bats extended their franchise-record home winning streak to 12 games with an 8-5 victory over Syracuse on Tuesday night. Yonder Alonso, left, led Louisville at the plate with three hits and three RBIs as the Bats stayed within 2 1/2 games of Columbus in the International League West.

A return to Louisville Slugger Field helped the Louisville Bats return to their winning way.

The Bats extended their franchise-record home winning streak to 12 games with an 8-5 victory over Syracuse on Tuesday night.

Louisville loses third straight to Clippers, 7-3 [Sports]

The Louisville Bats out-hit host Columbus 12-8, but left 14 runners stranded on base in an 7-3 loss at Huntington Park as the Clippers completed a three-game sweep. Louisville went 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
