Forecastle Festival X announces its confirmed band lineup [Music]

After weeks of waiting, the lineup for Forecastle 2012 has been announced! Ten years of music, arts, and activism.

It has finally arrived! The confirmed lineup for Forecastle Festival X, the 10th Anniversary, is finally here. In weeks to come extra artists, as well as art installations, environmental and sustainability activities, outdoor extreme sports park, festival partners, culinary options and other activities will be announced.

Rising International Grayson Wray Project plays Louisville [Music]

Rising International band The Grayson Wray Project pulled into town in their grey school bus to do a show at the Rudyard Kipling with local acts last night.

Los Angeles band Grayson Wray Project visited Louisville and played a show with local acts Ted Stevens, Lotus Blake, and the Rusty Crowes at the Rudyard Kipling on Monday, August 8. 2011.


The band has been called a pop rock indie band with a funkadelic Beatles sound. 

 

The Rudyard Kipling is on Oak St. and is one of the oldest venues in Louisville for arts, music, and other performances.

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is a four-day, multi-stage camping festival held on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee every June. This year From June 9th-12th, Bonnaroo brings together some of the best performers in rock and roll, along with dozens of artists in complementary styles such as jazz, Americana, hip-hop, electronica, and just about any contemporary music you can think of.

Louisville's Peak Summit keeps growing

It's been hanging around for a few years, adding this, adding that, adding other things. In 2009 the Peak Summit Music Festival sprawls over 15 venues to try and bring Louisville together under a very large musical umbrella.

Peak Summit Groove and Dance Festival sports a new theme for '09-  "get on the bus!" A celebration of Louisville's Music, Art, and Business, the festival features over 25 acts in fifteen venues, and emcompasses comedy, art, film, fashion, and...um....billiards.
