In the offseason Louisville Slugger Field added a third number to the outfield sign that registers a pitcher's miles per hour on a throw.

The Game 4 hero from the 2005 NLDS gets signed by the Reds to a minor league deal, placing him squarely at our own Louisville Slugger Field.
Chris Burke, the Louisville native who electrified the Houston Astros in the 2005 National League Division Series with an unbelievable home run in the BOTTOM OF THE 18TH INNING (!) has been signed to a minor league deal by the Reds in an otherwise quiet off season for the team.

Hard to believe we're coming to the end of baseball season in Louisville, but thanks to a decent showing at Slugger Field in '09, we may get a slight extension.
Tickets for the 2009 Governors' Cup Playoffs will go on sale to the general public Monday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets range in price from $6-10.
