The Belle of Louisville first starting rolling downriver out of Pittsburgh, PA in 1914. She has lived three “lives”, as the Idlewild, the Avalon, and as we currently know her, the Belle of Louisville.
If you’re in Louisville, love our history, and are a fan of steamboats, you may have heard that the Belle of Louisville is turning 100 this year.
