BritBeat brought the Teddy Boy llok back in style
Abbey Road on the River and BritBeat celebrated the 50th anniversary of "Love Me Do" on the Lawn Stage Friday evening.
Originally thought to be lost, the original recording of Love Me Do took place June 6, 1962 at 3 Abbey Road, the time period when the Fab Four roamed The Cavern Club in Liverpool and donned the rebel, Teddy Boy look. The most recent release from The Beatles, The Love Album will be heard blocks away as BritBeat, The Newbees, and All You Need is Love share the love.
Fans of The Beatles are well immersed in Abbey Road on the River this Memorial Day weekend, yet a royal treat lies in store for fans of Love.   Abbey Road on the River has recreated the album, live on stage with three of the better known Beatle tribute bands in the country.
