A recent survey, commissioned by various Kentucky horse racing interests, shows that Kentuckians want the chance to vote on whether to allow casino gaming in Kentucky. The Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group in Washington, D.C. surveyed 612 Kentucky voters statewide December 12-14, 2011 regarding their position on casino gaming in the state.
The Carnegie Center’s Taste of Art and History’s annual fundraising event was spectacular, with over 300 in attendance, and it was a wonderful evening for a drive from Kentucky to Indiana.
Celebrity chef (and arguable Queen of Butter) Paula Deen will bring her saucy wit and Southern twang to the area Friday, Sept. 3, for the opening of The Paula Deen Buffet at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, the casino right across the river from Louisville in Elizabeth, Ind.
Visitors will find many of the same amenities at Horseshoe Southern Indiana as they did when it was known as Caesar’s. Harrah’s, the world’s largest provider of branded casino entertainment, spent tens of millions dollars in renovations for the facility. Patrons will find over 100 gaming tables and 2,000 slot machines within the floors of this riverboat casino.
