Tour Capriole Farmstead tomorrow, October 1 [Food & Dining]

Spend a day in Greenville, Indiana and meet the goats who make delicious local cheese.

As a twenty-something living in Old Louisville, I have a few friends of the vegan persuasion. I am a firm carnivore, but I have considered trying the vegan thing for a week or so, just to see if I could do it. There are many vegan foods I enjoy, but I know that I could never permanently alter my diet in that way, because of one thing I could never, ever give up: cheese.

Finally the Wine Market is back in business

The brown wrapping is gone and the new and improved Wine Market is at long last open.
I don’t know about you but I was tired of seeing the Wine Market on Bardstown Road wrapped up in brown while they renovated. Don’t get me wrong, I like Old Town just fine, but I like the bigger selection of affordable wines at their sister shop. Their meant-to-be-quick renovation drug on for weeks – months. But at long last the brown wrapping is gone and the sleek new shop is open for business.
