I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Stephanie White, another transplant to our fair city, to discuss her business venture, LouisvilleFamilyFun.net. This former teacher and her family moved here from North Carolina in the Fall of 2009 after the economic downturn began affecting the company that her husband was an employee with. He was formerly of Lexington, and had family in that area, but they decided to try out a little larger city just as a shield against any further economic downtrend; so Louisville it was. Wh
There is a growing trend among LGBT individuals and couples to become foster and adoptive parents. This trend rings true for Louisville and Kentucky as well. According to 2010 U.S. Census data, there are 11,572 same-sex couples in the state, and 24% of them are raising children. Of course, not all of these couples are doing so as foster and/or adoptive parents.
If you have children, know people who have children, or have ever even been around a child, I'm sure you know that there are thousands of questions that revolve around them. Where to take them, what to feed them, how to dress them, what is that noise they're making?? Parents belong to such a large fraternity, yet often feel secluded and unknowing of where to turn for help or answers. Fear not though, there are people out there who care and are doing what they can to help make the fraternity a little more tight knit...minus the keggers.

I have a healthy full head of hair, not luscious, sometimes dirty, but am lucky that a guy my age still has to get a haircut when his wife or mother tells him he has to. So I'm shaving my head because cancer can strike where you least expect
Good friends of mine recently had thier wonderful daughter diagnosed with Leukemia and I felt helpless. Now I know everyone says their kids are the cutest thing in the world – I don’t have any, so I can be objective (if you are honest with yourself behind closed doors, not all four year-olds are “cute”.)
