If you're under 25, into tech, or just watch the Daily Show, you've heard of Twitter. For those of you who are less tech savvy, it's a tool which gives people 140 characters to share what's going on in their lives that instant. Think of it like a semi-public text messaging forum. It's a constant, small stream of information which cumulatively lets you get to know people surprisingly well.

Consuming Louisville sponsors event at Derby City Espresso to raise funds for The Library Foundation

Consuming Louisville is sponsoring a bake sale at Derby City Espresso (331 E. Market St.) Aug. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m.--or when it's out of baked goods--to support the city's library. According to 89.3 WFPL, "floodwaters caused at least $1 million in damage to the library main branch" (301 York St.) from the storm on Aug. 4. It remains closed during recovery efforts.
