It’s Thanksgiving eve and the question on everyone’s mind is, what’s there to do? For the most part, we’re all off on the holiday, friends and family are in for the weekend, and everyone isn’t worried about waking up at a decent hour so that they can make it work on time, so the notion that then comes to mind is, “Let’s get out, and get into something.”
A Gerlach Family Thanksgiving [Thanksgiving]
Nothing is ever typical when it comes to my family. By this I mean, when I'm visiting friend's homes during the holidays, watching family programming on the basic cable network, or looking around at the way other people interact at the grocery in preparation to Thanksgiving, all things point in a much different direction. 30 Seconds to Mars show cancelled [Music]
Tonight's 30 Seconds to Mars show has been cancelled according to local promoter Terry Harper. Details weren't disclosed concerning the reasoning, but rescheduling has been discussed, and there should be a show sometime after the first of the year. For those that have already purchased their tickets then refunds are being made from the vendors that they originally purchased their items thru.

Germantown Pride [Germantown/Schnitzelburg]
Germantown is one of those corners of the world that you can never quite forget. For me, it's not only because I was raised here, but it's because I continue to come back to this place. For others, I hear similar sentiments about the town and how they once perceived it before having stepped foot down here, and how they now can't get enough once they've been here. It's the people that you find around that way, the attitudes that you encounter, and the bars that you stumble out of.
Black Label Society, Clutch, & Children of Bodom [Music Review]
Recently I attended a show at Expo Five put on by Children of Bodom, Clutch, and Black Label Society and brought to town by local promoter Terry Harper. These were all bands that I had heard of extensively, and in the case of Clutch and BLS, listen to quite often.
It was just a few weeks ago that I was last at Expo Five seeing The Deftones put on a show, and though they had a fat crowd, the crowd that showed up for this event was far greater. I'd say at least twice as many fans were there.

Sometimes that the position that you hold will grant you some cool percs that extend from your normal 9 to 5. In this case, my position with Louisville.com has landed me with much more than I ever anticipated.
Earlier this week I was put on the "Will Call" list for the Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer show at Freedom Hall. Yeah, that's right. Management for Slayer oked the deal, gave me the proper credentials to gain access to the show, and even floated my entry fees, which in some cases were close to a hundred bucks.

Jagermeister, the brand known for decades of involvement with rock and metal bands, continues to own the concert circuit with the announcement of the 2010 Fall Jagermeister Music Tour, North America's biggest thrash tour in 20 years with the 1991 original "Clash of the TItans" lineup - Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
