Coming from a this one man band/DJ/whatever you'd like to call this guy, Bassnectar was the unexpected part headliner that blew both my socks and The Smashing Pumpkins off the stage.
Before this past Saturday I had no idea who Bassnectar was, or why someone that I had never heard of was going on in between such large acts as Devo and The Smashing Pumpkins.  Not until I saw the crew setting up the stage did I even realize that this was just a DJ, and not even a band at all.  But...

Though the two days I hit Forecastle were great, the surge of hippies that engulfed the stage was greater. Good times hanging out with the stench of body odor and live music.

The weekend bender that bleeds into the new week, and living like the fallen leaves that let the wind blow them in whatever direction that it sees fit.
Realizing that you're thirty but still acting out like you're eighteen can be a sobering reality.  One that I didn't quite wake up to until about six o'clock Sunday afternoon while drinking super strong, fire to the chest margaritas, and chewing on a cold hamburger that was overdone on the outside...
