Located on 331 East Market Street, at the place where downtown and Nulu meet, there is a little building that used to be Derby City Espresso and is now Haymarket Whiskey Bar, signaled by an impressive neon sign that proclaims "Whiskey by the Drink". Proprietor and bartender Mathew Landan was quite clear on the fact that Haymarket Whiskey Bar does not serve cocktails.

Exhibit combines 10 new artists with 10 who've had showed at the first two Unconscious Collectives
Unconscious Collective 3, the latest installment of the 14-part group art show organized by Louisville artist Andrew Cook, opens at 6 p.m. tonight at Derby City Espresso. Keeping with Cook's idea of fusing individual works from Louisville artists into one unifying piece of art, Unconscious Collective 3 features 10 local artists who've displayed their work in the previous two shows along with 10 more area artists making their debut in the series.

Unconscious Collective 2: Andy Cook's second step in creating a unifying story from the work of local artists

Month-long art exhibit opens tonight at Derby City Espresso
Combining new exhibitors with ones who showed their work at the inaugural event in May, Unconscious Collective 2 organizer Andy Cook is taking the second step in his quest to create a unifying sculpture or story from the creations of local artists. "Basically this is to be an homage to the synchronicity, the collective consciousness and unconsciousness of the Earth," Cook said.
