Friday evening was one that I'd like to be able to remember just a bit more of, but after drinking an entire fifth between just my brother and I, as well as a few lukewarm beers, much of the night is out the window, or somewhere in the crapper. All weekend I've been keeping a count and jotting down notes in hopes to document and characterize each and every mullet that I come in contact with so that I can later categorize each one diligently.
Dierks Bentley is set to perform on Friday night at Churchill Downs for the HullabaLOU music festival.
Country music artist Dierks Bentley is coming to Louisville while touring in support of his latest bluegrass-inspired album, Up on a Ridge. That album debuted at number nine on the Billboard chart and still remains in the Billboard Top 40. The album, which has been favorably reviewed by critics, includes covers of U2's Pride (In the Name of Love) and Bob Dylan's Senor (Tales of Yankee Power).
Not to beat a Barbaro (too soon?), but HullabaLOU's announcement today of artists added to its lineup--including Tonic; Ben Folds; and Blood, Sweat & Tears--does nothing to address earlier criticism that the music festival is stale and safe.
