There is nothing quite so American as a cheeseburger with French fries and a Coke. The burger joint is the quintessential symbol of our country’s food culture, and they can be found just about everywhere, each claiming to be bigger and better than the next.
I don’t go to U of L or live near U of L, but I’m really happy about Cardinal Towne. It’s exciting to see the growth and changes that have occurred on campus since I lived in the old Confederate Place Apartments (now called University Tower Apartments), including the fancy dining hall that is connected to University Tower.

I don't know about you but Easter weekend has almost taken me by surprise. I knew it was coming. I have been buying goodies to fill Easter baskets for the kids. We've colored eggs. I have even bought a ham for dinner. But today, Good Friday, it HIT me. <
If you are like me and do not have much family close by, the holidays can tend to be a bit quiet. Instead of going to the trouble and expense of cooking an elaborate Thanksgiving meal for just two people and ending up with copious amounts of leftovers, my father and I decided to go to Austin's Restaurant on Brownsboro Road for their annual Thanksgiving buffet.

There are so many advantages to buying local. So, whenever I visit a local establishment or attend a local event, I'm writing an article for it in the back of my mind. Unfortunately, the last two potential reviews have been... less than flattering. Twice now I've hit the town with the goal of having a fun, relaxing time, but instead got aggravation and stress.
Ugh.
I've decided to post my reviews anyway. Commence rant.
It's Friday night in Louisville, and you're looking for something to do. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in this town, along with amazing theater, museums and cinema.
