71°F9:50 AM Metro Louisville Animal Services is bringing in the dogs to Louisville with many doggie events. A number of events are being held in April including the ever exciting World Championship Disc Dog Qualifier, The Average Mutt Competition, and The Happy Tail Hour. These events are for the whole family, including your pets, to come down to the Waterfront Park to enjoy.
The Southern Indiana Animal Rescue has been leading the efforts to rescue pets, horses, and other livestock displaced by the March 2 tornadoes in Southern Indiana. They have also been assisting owners with getting their fencing and shelters back up so as to be able to contain their animals or bring them home from foster homes.
What started out as an average summer day with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms, quickly turned into an atypical summer day with an unusual and seemingly unannounced tornado outbreak with very little lead time.
Initially, a very small thunderstorm turned tornadic, crossing the county from west to east. Several witnesses reported funnel clouds as the storm traveled across the county.

Diane Wasnac and Barbara Polk are divas but they had to share the stage with their co-stars, Bonzer, Bizzo and Cooey during their Christmas themed show Winter Woofs at Art Sanctuary and Alley Theater on December 10 and 11.
Families got together and people of all ages enjoyed the physical comedy of Wasnac, the interactive songs by Polk and really enjoyed the dogs' performances during this Divas and Dogs production.
