Two award-winning high schools come together for a Tony Award winning show, The Drowsy Chaperone, beginning tomorrow night.
The Drowsy Chaperone will occur on Nov. 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinee performances, meanwhile, will take place on Nov. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances of The Drowsy Chaperone will take place at Floyd Central High School, located at 6575 Old Vincennes Road in Floyds Knobs, IN.
A post-war Japanese village, a bumbling army officer, and a meddling interpreter provide the basis for the comedy Teahouse of the August Moon, which will open at Floyd Central High School on Thursday.
Cars on adjacent US Highway 150 are usually the loudest noises heard around Mount Saint Francis, home of the Conventual Franciscan province of Our Lady of Consolation. On Saturday, many of those cars will be turning into the drive and parking in the fields, as the friars of "The Mount" host their annual picnic.
