The first-ever Fork, Cork & Style Louisville event at Churchill Downs Sunday
drew big crowds and bigger names, but a few sour notes emerged at
the food and wine showcase.
It was hard to predict what would happen at the Fork, Cork & Style festival that descended upon Churchill Downs Sunday. This was the inaugural year for the celebration, which was designed to showcase food and wine from area restaurants and vendors from across the country.

Emeril Lagasse will headline the inaugural Fork, Cork & Style food celebration at Churchill Downs Sunday, Sept. 12. Almost 20 years after the premiere of his first show, he's still got it.

My tastes in wine have slowly graduated from box to bottle since I finished my undergraduate studies a few years ago. I'm inching my way through all the white wine varieties, and I still haven't developed a taste for red.
