Thanks to GoFoBo.com, I saw a sneak preview of the remake of Footloose last night. I never was a huge fan of the first Footloose movie, made in 1984. Kevin Bacon dancing? John Lithgow as the preacher? A town that bans dancing? It all seemed so silly, although I did like some of the songs on the soundtrack.
Summer is here and the living is easy. We rise each morning a little later with the kids and worries of homework and juggling the workload are replaced with filling the schedule with fun and sunscreen. It's family time, relaxation time, hose pipe and backyard bbq time. Louisville loves summer and one way she shows it with is with the free movie series at Iroquois Amphitheater. Nothing says summer like a movie among the fireflies.
If you're like me you try to find inexpensive, or better yet, free things to do with your kid. The Great Escape Theatres in New Albany and Clarksville, Indiana are once again offering the free kids' summer movies! The free showings begin on June 6th and run thru August 11th. All shows start at 9:30am. I recommend you get there early because they are free and generally draw large crowds.
This summer you can take your kids to the movies for free at the Great Escape Theaters in Clarksville and New Albany and Corydon Cinemas in Corydon.
