68°F1:09 PM There wasn't much defense Friday night in Freedom Hall, but that's what you get when you have some of the Nation's top recruits playing in the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic.
A crowd of around 7,000 came into Freedom Hall Friday Night, mostly to watch the three Indiana recruits, one Louisville recruit, and a possible Kentucky recruit, as the white team defeated the black in a impressive score of, 130-127.
Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam returns to Freedom Hall on January 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for kids (ages two to twelve) are just $5 while other seats begin at $22. The event will feature Maximum Destruction, Wolverine, Samson, Raminator, Rammunition, Full Boar, Mechanical Mischief and Heavy Hitter, although featured trucks may change without notice.

Ever since the American Basketball Association merged with the NBA and selected the Kentucky Colonels rival, Indiana Pacers, as a new expansion team for the league despite the Colonels being overwhelming favorites due to their dominance in the league since its inception every so often we see a new possible pro basketball team story for the Derby City.
Many Kentucky fans in Louisville look forward to the annual game in Freedom Hall, sponsored by the University of Kentucky Alumni Association in Louisville. The meeting between University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Kentucky brought fans out on a chilly evening in Louisville. Darius Miller was the star of the evening as he joins 57 other Kentucky players to reach 1000 points in their Wildcat careers.

When one thinks about the sport of hockey the mid-south region of the United States isn’t the first area that comes to mind. However, it’s a combination that’s been tried time and time again in the city of Louisville.
Much to the surprise for the football/basketball obsessed city, the town has had its share of pro-hockey teams.
In recent years the sport of Lacrosse has become more and more so a fixture in local athletics, at the high school and college levels there has been an outpouring of interest in recent seasons.
With that in mind, the upstart professional Lacrosse league, the North American Lacrosse League, has announced the team of the Kentucky Stickhorses, a new team based right here in the Derby City. In fact, according to the league the number of individuals playing Lacrosse has doubled since 2001.
