Will Lady Gaga's Louisville concert affect the city's view on the gay community? [News]

How will Lady Gaga's arrival in Louisville affect how our city views the homosexual community? Will it bring awareness to the problems with anti-gay bullying and violence? Video included of Gaga's "Don't ask, don't tell" speech.

Lady Gaga is finally coming to Louisville on March 12, 2011 at the new KFC Yum! Center, but what does that mean (other than a fun concert)? Lady Gaga is at the forefront of gay rights activism and recently joined U.S. Senator Harry Reid in suggesting the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." (See video of her her speech at the end of this post.)

Ditch the stereotype: Louisville is gay friendly

These bars, restaurants and coffee shops draw a good mix gays and straights.
Before visiting Louisville for the first time five years ago, my notion of residents' attitudes towards homosexuals was of guys who vote in favor of a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and then stop off on the way home for a little anonymous man-on-man action in a video booth.
