Jack Conway nails Dr. Suess [Opinion: The Arena]

The charges allege that from January 2005 through September 2007, Dr. Suess fraudulently billed Medicaid for individual and family therapy sessions involving 12 patients.

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway and his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control today announced the indictment of a psychiatrist who practices in Hanson, Ky. and owns the Western Kentucky Center for Psychiatric Medicine. A Hopkins County grand jury indicted Osteopath Lawrence Edward Suess on 14 counts of Medicaid fraud following an investigation of his billing practices. The charges are Class D felonies punishable up to a maximum of five years in prison on each count if convicted.

SurveyUSA's latest poll on the Kentucky race for Governor shows what a total and complete failure David Williams has been as a candidate, on every level. Having swept every state-wide election in recent history, with the exception of the last race for governor, in which their incumbent was badly damaged by scandals of his own making, the Republican Party in Kentucky is going to be doing some difficult self-reflection as to how their train went so badly off the tracks.

500 "young democrats" have converged on Louisville for their biennial convention.

The binennial convention of the Young Democrats of America kicked off today in Louisville, KY. Attended by some 500 young Democratic movers and shakers from around the nation, the convention provides a chance to hear from a wide variety of Democratic luminaries, to network, and to learn about everything from building out a political resume, to managing an effective get out the vote effort, to running as an LGBT candidate.
