The Louisville Bats set a franchise record with their 22nd victory in July on Saturday night with a 10-2 win over International League West-leading Columbus. In his second rehab start with the Bats, Homer Bailey, left, bettered local boys Marty Popham (Butler High School) and Jeremy Sowers (Ballard High School) as Louisville won its ninth game in a row.

The Louisville Bats split a doubleheader at Columbus on Monday, losing the first game 1-0 before winning the second 16-2

Monday's doubleheader at Columbus was famine and feast for the Louisville Bats.
They were beaten by the International League West-leading Clippers 1-0 in the opener, but then clobbered Columbus 16-2 in the second game. Both contests were seven innings.
