John Mellencamp nails his hits, plays some other songs, at the Louisville Palace [Music]

John Mellencamp at the Louisville Palace
Not quite two-hour show featured mix of new material with his classic hits.

Back in college I was so blown away by John Mellencamp's greatest hits compilation, The Best That I Could Do, that I sold my CD back to the record store and put the proceeds towards two of his regular releases, American Fool and Scarecrow, with plans for celebrating the man's entire catalog as income allowed.

A short while later I was again at the CD store, this time selling back those two CDs and using the money to rebuy the hits package.

Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Bob Dylan took their As I Lay Dying tour to Louisville Slugger Field

Don't expect a review of Nelson though as I was still drinking on my porch for most of his set
Bob Dylan A Bob Dylan concert is like seeing the Mona Lisa: I was glad I watched him perform but wished I could have turned around and had a little more fun watching the musical equivalent of Veronese's The Wedding at Cana. I am a Dylan fan, with 10 of his albums. Only one of those releases however, is from after 1976 (the year I was born).
