The Louisville Bats set a franchise record with their 22nd victory in July on Saturday night with a 10-2 win over International League West-leading Columbus. In his second rehab start with the Bats, Homer Bailey, left, bettered local boys Marty Popham (Butler High School) and Jeremy Sowers (Ballard High School) as Louisville won its ninth game in a row.

The Louisville Bats won their season-high sixth straight game Wednesday night, beating Charlotte 7-5, to improve to 55-50 on the season. They now lead the race for the International League wildcard playoff spot.

A first-inning grand slam by Wladimir Balentien, left, got the Louisville Bats' offense going early, and it was just the beginning, as Louisville lambasted Charlotte 19-6 Tuesday night at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats also seven runs in the fifth inning and six in the seventh on their way to their fifth straight win.
