Snow Ball Park at Kentucky Exposition Center Cancels [Family & Parenting]

The highly anticipated Snow Ball Park has been canceled. The attraction was set to open next week.

According to a short and sweet press release just issued the highly anticipated Snow Ball Park has been canceled, just before it was set to open. 

The park's operator, Rick Madden of Indianapolis, informed officials at the Kentucky Exposition Center that conditions and delays in construction put the event too far behind schedule.  the park was to open Friday, November 25 and run through January 16.

Worlds largest military show returns to Louisville [Downtown]

The Ohio Valley Military Society will present the worlds largest military show February 25, 26 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Numerous U.S. Veterans are scheduled to attend, including the real war heroes depicted in HBO's Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

 The Ohio Valley Military Society, one of the oldest and largest Militaria collector's clubs in the world with more than 2,000 current members, will be hosting the largest military show in the world this month.

The show will be held February 25, 26 at the South wing of the Kentucky Convention Center. Tickets are $9. Children 18 and under. get in free if accompanied by an adult. The show is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Kentucky State Fair, which kicked off Aug. 20, runs through Aug. 30 at Louisville's Kentucky Exposition Center. Based on my experience at the 2008 State Fair of Texas, the only state fair I've ever attended, here's what I expect to see:
  • adult-onset diabetes sufferers gobbling up fried butter, water, sugar, salt, eggs, flour, oil, and more white powder than the mortician found in Billy Mays, even if the end product is light and fluffy
