This event is presented by the Kentucky Dressage Association (KDA) and the Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and will be held in the Rolex Stadium.

Shawn Flarida and Wimps Chocolate Chip win the individual competition in the Ariat Kentucky Reining Cup CRI3* on Friday night's competition in the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.

It was evident that Shawn Flarida was proud of his horse, Wimps Chocolate Chip, after their ride in the CRI3*. He should be very proud as they posted a runaway score of 228 to take the individual first place. In an interview earlier in the day with Louisville.com Flarida said Wimps Chocolate Chip was an awesome horse who had won $100,000. He said the horse has such a good mind and great trainability. He’s had the horse since he was a 3 years old. Flarida is sponsored by Ariat and rode on the Ariat Boots Team along with Shane Brown and Sam Smith in the team competition.

United States rider Boyd Martin leads in day one of the dressage competition at the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event presented by Bridgestone.

On Thursday, April 26, Boyd Martin, from the United States, and his mount Remington XXV take the early lead in day one of the dressage competition at the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event. They were placed first by all three judges with a score of 45.3.

Standing in second place is Karen O’Connor, also from the United States, riding Veronica with a score of 47.8.

Andrew Nicholson, of New Zealand, is in third place riding Calico Joe with a score of 48.7.

Another rider from the United States, Becky Holder, sits in fourth place riding Courageous Comet with a score of 48.8.

On Saturday, April 14, 2012 the University of Louisville Saddle Seat Equestrian Team will be the hosting school for the ISSRA Saddle Seat Championships to be held in the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. This show is being held in conjunction with the KY Spring Premier Horse Show.

The show starts at 8 am with the schooling of horses beginning at 7 am. The show will be held in accordance with the ISSRA rules.

The Kentucky Horse Park is the only equestrian venue in North America, including those in Canada and Mexico, that had three horse shows make it into the top 25 horse shows in North America as ranked by NARG.

The North American Riders Group (NARG) released their second annual report of the top 25 horse shows held in North America. NARG represents riders and owners in North America and is composed of top horsemen from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The goal of NARG is to improve the sport of show jumping in North America so that show jumping competitions held here will be considered world class competitions and draw competitors from around the world.
