It was evident that Shawn Flarida was proud of his horse, Wimps Chocolate Chip, after their ride in the CRI3*. He should be very proud as they posted a runaway score of 228 to take the individual first place. In an interview earlier in the day with Louisville.com Flarida said Wimps Chocolate Chip was an awesome horse who had won $100,000. He said the horse has such a good mind and great trainability. He’s had the horse since he was a 3 years old. Flarida is sponsored by Ariat and rode on the Ariat Boots Team along with Shane Brown and Sam Smith in the team competition.
On Thursday, April 26, Boyd Martin, from the United States, and his mount Remington XXV take the early lead in day one of the dressage competition at the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event. They were placed first by all three judges with a score of 45.3.
Standing in second place is Karen O’Connor, also from the United States, riding Veronica with a score of 47.8.
Andrew Nicholson, of New Zealand, is in third place riding Calico Joe with a score of 48.7.
Another rider from the United States, Becky Holder, sits in fourth place riding Courageous Comet with a score of 48.8.
