Infinite Space means something different to everyone. To Craig Hawkins it means a spiritual space and unification. That’s what he has accomplished in his 16 set charcoal paintings. Each 29x43 paper stretched on canvas is of someone he knows and facing what; another person, openness, nothingness, God? The photos are on white area, and open to free access. When asked why they aren’t behind glass Craig states, “ To do that would create a barrier I was trying to break with the art in the 1st place.”
The Fern Creek Farmers Market is now accepting applications for the stall rentals on their website. The web address is http://ferncreek.org/market.php. The link to get the application and send it in is on that page. This is a great place to get out there and sell some of your goods. So hurry up and sign up farmers, for a chance to get a spot in a great place to sell your locally grown items. There is also a chance for volunteering at the website if you need some volunteer credit.
You're welcome ahead of time for the dose of joy you'll get from following the recommendations included below. It's always a great idea to support local artists and businesses when doing your holiday shopping, but Occupy Wall St! seems to be inspiring more people to raise a banner (both literally and metaphorically) to pay more attention to individuals in the community.
I love food, exploring the best that Louisville has to offer, meeting new people, and of course if I can accomplish all of that in the name of great cause, all the better, (and makes the holiday season feel more important than bowl games which is generally hard to convince me of). If you’re like-minded, please mark your calendars and plan to join your fellow Louisvillians tonight in support of the 15th annual Dining Out For Life event on Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
The rain couldn’t keep the multi-hundreds of earX-tacy fans away on its final day of business. The historic record store opened its doors one last time today from noon-5pm to a line that wrapped around the outside of the store. I stood in line with everyone else, arriving about an hour before opening. Even after arriving early, I still found myself about 100 people from the door.

Los Angeles band Grayson Wray Project visited Louisville and played a show with local acts Ted Stevens, Lotus Blake, and the Rusty Crowes at the Rudyard Kipling on Monday, August 8. 2011.
The band has been called a pop rock indie band with a funkadelic Beatles sound.

The Rudyard Kipling is on Oak St. and is one of the oldest venues in Louisville for arts, music, and other performances.
For the third straight year, the Louisville Visual Arts Association hosts the Buy Local 1st Fair on the banks of the Ohio at the Historic Water Tower on May 22nd. Business has grown in Louisville in the last year and so has the size of the fair. Even more businesses, musicians, organizations and representatives will be on-location for 2011’s big event.
