#1 Where did you grow up?
I was born in Norfolk, Virginia, but I moved here to Louisville along with my mom and little brother soon after I was born.
#2 What is your musical background?
The venue was earX-tacy and the entertainment was pure, local, hip-hop talent. The show was open to all ages with refreshments from Sprite to Coors and even a visit from the Lil Cheezers Gourmet Grilled Cheese Truck (the best homemade thing between two slices of bread you’ll find).
His flow floats like a butterfly but stings like a bee and like the Greatest himself, hip-hop artist Jalin Roze is from right here in Louisville, KY. Born in Norfork, James Lindsey Jr. grew up with a love for music that he shared with his mother Janice, who lost a battle with lung cancer when James was 22.

Queens, NY native Jesse Malin and his St. Marks Social band will play this Friday night at Zanzabar along with local acts Shadwick Wilde (folk/Americana) and Vice Tricks (rock/psychobilly).
Eclectic singer-songwriter Nellie Mckay will play Headliner's Music Hall (Lexington Road) on January 25, supported by local favorite Brigid Kaelin.
#1 My Morning Jacket performing with the Louisville Youth Orchestra and Wax Fang

For their sixth issue, and final comp for the year, the firm will donate all proceeds made from the release to the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation.
