Today's losers: My Breeders' Cup Classic picks UPDATED [Breeders' Cup]

Louisville.com's editor's entirely amateur and not to be used when coming up with your own bets thoughts on the field

I've been at Churchill Downs for the Breeders' Cup all weekend and I'm yet to make a bet (heck of the 21 races this weekend, I'll only have seen three of them). But I'm not going to miss the opportunity to watch the marquee race, the Breeders' Cup Classic, which posts at 6:45 p.m. Nor am I going to miss the opportunity to lose money on it.

Here are my entirely amateur and not to be used when coming up with your own bets thoughts on the field:

1 Quality Road: Seven wins in his last 10 races (and he placed and showed in the the other two)

Road to the Breeders' Cup: Lookin At Lucky rolls past Super Saver in the Haskell [Horse Racing]

Snooki wasn't the only feisty one on the Jersey Shore over the weekend as Bob Baffert-trained Preakness winner Lookin At Lucky won Monmouth Park's $1 million Haskell Invitational.

Ending a layoff since winning the Preakness on May 15th, Bob Baffert's Lookin At Lucky and jock Martin Garcia rolled in the $1 million Haskell Invitational at New Jersey's Monmouth Park over Trappe Shot.  In a photo finish for third, First Dude bested Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver.

Lookin At Lucky draws post 1 [Kentucky Derby]

Baffert's colt remains Derby favorite.

Derby-winning trainer Bob Baffert expressed disappointment at drawing the first hole in the starting gate for his colt Lookin At Lucky, but the horse remains  the 3-1 morning line favorite in Saturday's Kentucky Derby 136.

"This horse, he can't catch a break," said Baffert. "We named him wrong."

While tied with the five hole for most Derby wins with 12, the first position has not produced a victor in the Run for the Roses since Ferdinand in 1986.

Pre-Derby rankings [Kentucky Derby]

Check out our updated rankings of the horses in Kentucky Derby 136 following Wednesday's post position draw.

By Josh Cook

Kentucky Derby 136 is just a few days away and with Wednesday's post position draw, as well as word that Endorsement has dropped out, here are our updated rankings of the Top 10 horses for Saturday's Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs.

1. Awesome Act (10-1 odds) - The English import who won the Gotham Stakes but was third at the Wood Memorial behind Jackson Bend (barely) and Eskendereya, jumps from third to first in our rankings because he got a better draw than the top two favorites.
