Kentucky Opera
The show will go on for Kentucky Opera's production of The Merry Widow with a replacement orchestra made up of local musicians and a late substitution for Kentucky Opera Conductor Joseph Mechavich, who announced his departure today.
It's been a bumpy road for Kentucky Opera this season, having become embroiled in the labor dispute between Louisville Orchestra's management and its union musicians, who have not been able to come to terms on a new contract.
