The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts has launched a new internship program called ACTIV8 for college juniors or seniors who enjoy the performing arts.  The program's mission is "that each student exits the program with a broader understanding of the connections between the arts, cultural diversity, quality education, economic development, and government which will instill upon them how important it is to support arts organizations."

The show that answers the question "What do you do with a B.A. in English?" takes place this weekend at Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Why are those puppets (and humans) talking like that?  And what exactly does one do with a B.A. in English?  Find out in the Wayward Actors Theatre Company performance of Avenue Q, which opens tomorrow.  

Avenue Q performances will go on Sept. 9, 10, 12, 16, and 17 each night at 8 p.m.  A matinee show will run on Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. All performances will occur inside the Mex Theater at KY Center for the Arts, located at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
