Local animal rescues need more foster families and adopters to help with saving more pets at local county shelters who are very overcrowded.

The portrait of many shelter dogs jump out at you with their soulful presence at the non-profit An Act of Dog in Mellwood Arts Center. You are awed by the amazing talent of artist Mark Barone. All of these dogs were euthanized at animal shelters. This is the reason that An Act of Dog exists, to prevent other dogs from their sad fate.
Mark Barone and Marina Dervan are co-founders of the non-profit “An Act of Dog” which strives to make our country a no-kill nation for shelter pets.
