Churchill Downs Inc. cancels music festival, puts downs entertainment division after 2010 events fail to win, place or show profits

Churchill Downs Inc. followed Richard Marx's lead and bailed on HullabaLOU, canceling its attempt at a music festival in 2011, just two months after announcing it would in fact return next year.

For me, it was 9:16 p.m. and I was on the toilet, catching up on Twitter on my iPhone when I saw this devastating HullabaLOU development via a reTweet: "Unfortunately Richard Marx isn't available to perform his ballads due to conflict. Full festival lineup announcement in a few weeks!"
