In Cirque du Soleil's Alegría, some of the most astonishing feats from performance arts around the world promise to awe and inspire Louisville audiences beginning this Thursday through Sunday at the KFC Yum! Center.
There are so many different ways to bet and a lot of things to consider before making your bet, but wagering doesn't have to be intimidating. Simple win, place, or show bets are fun and easy. First, you must understand the difference between the three. Win = first place; Place = second place; and Show = third place. Once you've decided what position you think your horse will finish, make your way to the betting window. Most tellers are more than happy to help you place your wager even if you have no idea how to communicate it.

Usually when talking about being watched while sleeping, the story is creepy or about a creeper - unless the conversation is art. University of Louisville’s Photographic Alliance is looking at sleep and sleepers in their upcoming “While You Sleep” show. The show will exhibit 13 student artists from a variety of academic disciplines as they all capture the themes of slumber.

When first visiting Louisville I was struck by the illustrations covering buildings, fence posts, and street curbs. Some of it was created with paint pallets, and others with spray paint (it’s not to hard to play ‘Where’s Waldo’ with ‘OPM’ tags). The lines between art and graffiti, or other street arts, is more blurred now than ever before with commercial galleries opening their arms, and wallets, to street art. Louisville artist and curator Danial Pfalzgraf is bringing this concept to the city with his upcoming show "LoCAL.streets."
