On Saturday, May 19, 2012, The Speed Art Museum is offering Free Admission. It is International Art Museum Day and The Speed Museum wants you to celebrate with them. This free admission will extend to the Art Sparks Interactive Gallery and all Museum event and exhibits.

2012 Speed Art Museum Ball [Louisville Dot Chic]
The Speed Art Museum will hold one of the most elegant spring galas, the 39th annual Speed Art Museum Ball, on Saturday, March 3, 2012. The Museum's exquisite Impressionist exhibition, Renoir to Chagall: Paris and the Allure of Color, will serve as the inspiration for the evening. The collection of magnificent Impressionist works from the Dixon Gallery and Gardens will transport attendees to the romantic French countryside or a Parisian café as depicted by artists Degas, Renoir, Monet, Cezanne and others.

Sundays are days to take rest from the business of the week. People do this in various ways and the Speed Museum wants you to spend some time resting and watching a collection of documentaries, avant-garde, and classic movies.

Soon I will be heading back to teaching full time, which means my nearly 17-month stint as a stay-at-home mom will end. And once a week Jack will be home from day care in my better half's loving care and guidance. I asked hubby what activities he was planning with our toddler, and he gave me a shrug.
