Despite the endless miles of church-dotted landscape outside the metropolitan area, there is plenty of spirit to go around even in the city. February is Black History Month, but Bellarmine University’s Why Just in February? concert series ensures that the music of otherwise little-heard African-American classical composers is heard well into the spring.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 6, Bellarmine University will explore this female vein in a unique panel discussion on “Expressions of Feminine Spirituality within the Christian and Muslim Faith Traditions.”
The Troubadours of Divine Bliss are one of Kentuckiana's biggest motivators of dreams and putting more "unity" in community. They host the Mighty Kindness festival twice per year to inspire more desire for community, environmental friendliness, and support of local farms and business. This festival was hosted at the Louisville Nature Center and included hikes.
They also host "Church on the Rocks", an open stage for the sage at the Monkey Wrench on Sunday evenings at 7 pm. Poets, musicians, comedians welcome.

Joyce Gerrish, a holistic practitioner and teacher, is offering three free classes on energy and auras over the next three Tuesdays at Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods, 3046 Bardstown Rd. in the Gardiner Lane Shopping Center. Although Gerrish offers three classes, attendees are welcome to visit any one, two or all three.
