The Great Steamboat Race has only been rescheduled a few times since racing began in 1963.
This evening, the historic Belle of Louisville will be racing the Belle of Cincinnati on the mighty Ohio River beginning at 6 p.m.Traditionally, the race is held during the Kentucky Derby Festival, but high water on the river forced KDF officials to postpone the race.
