Trends 10 w/ Christan Turner: It's all about accessories--blessings in a backpack

Holly Houston is the whole package and she let me know a thing or two about fashion--it's all about the accessories.

Holly Houston is a talented lawyer, compassionate humanitarian and a connector. She's the whole package and she let me know a thing or two about fashion--it's all about the accessories.

Trends 10 w/ Christan Turner: We the people of fashion salute Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn’s cover on Sports Illustrated has been a hot story these Olympics. But I can’t believe that a young woman from Minnesota gets criticism from her own country for being fashionable.

I know Lindsey Vonn’s cover of "Sports Illustrated" was a hot story early on in these Winter Olympics. I can’t get the scrutiny out of my head.

Trends 10 w/ Christan Turner & Sunday Pitts: Dear Valentine......With Love, Sunday Pitts

Dear Valentine, I know on the first date it's probably not a great idea to talk about another man.
Dear Valentine, I know on the first date it's probably not a great idea to talk about another man. For fashion only, I will break that rule. I want you to meet Andrei Savtchenko, a man I just spent an incredible night of fashion with. Ok, so I wasn't the only one with Andrei; I shared him with a room full of adoring fans. Many of us were there to experience Dorsia Collection that was brought to us by this Russian born, Chicago bred fashion designer. I was proud to be sitting with my friend Andrei Savtchenko at the Chicago Lyric Opera House as we watched his story unfold on the runway.

TRENDS 10 w/ Christan Turner: And the Oscar for fashion at Actors Theater's Lobster Feast goes to....Cecelia Perez

It was a sold out event for the Actors Theatre of Louisville for its annual fundraiser at the Marriott Downtown. I was able to go into the room before anyone else. You could tell that it was an event that was working within a budget but Barry Wooley pulled it off magnificently. Everything upon opening the door had a blue cascade of color upon it which made it very soothing to spend an evening.

Trends 10 with Sunday Pitts: Down & Derby

For my first assignment covering the most popular regional events and offering babble on all things fashion, I was invited to a cocktail party that thanks volunteers for Down & Derby, which benefits the WINGS Clinic and the Louisville AIDS Walk. This fabulous event was a fun introduction to Derby 136.

Saturday night at 732 Social's beautiful new gallery space, a charming coktail party thanked the hosts, donors and sponsors of Down & Derby 2009 and invited new ones for 2010's party, which will be May 1, again at the Water Tower.
