The event is opened to the public and tickets run $ 75.00, the revenue generated from the event will be donated to Kosair charities.

Yesterday I took some time to look at some of the baseball greats to come through area colleges; today I picked up where I left off by looking at the outfield.
In Left Field is Louisville’s Doc Powers, which is quite possible, the greatest baseball name I’ve ever heard. Powers stayed in the River City upon making his way to major league baseball by joining the roster of the Louisville Colonels in 1898. Other pro-teams Powers took the field for includes the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Athletics and New York Highlanders
Ladies and gentleman, we stand on the precipice of baseball season. By the way, I just really wanted to use the word precipice to be honest I’m not even sure that applies here.
For the Big Blue faithful unable to make the trip to New Orleans, the University of Kentucky planned a top-notch welcome home party for the the 2012 NCAA Basketball Champions. Students and fans were offered free admission to this event, the capstone to an unbelievable season for the Wildcats.

All eyes will be on Louisville and Kentucky Saturday night as the two university's mens basketball teams battle in the NCAA Final Four tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana. On Monday, one of those teams will represent the Commonwealth in the NCAA Men's Final Tournament. Between Saturday and Monday, however, another athlete will represent the state in New Orleans--thoroughbred stakes winner Mission Impazible. Yes, a horse!
