The Greyhounds of Loyola Univeristy Maryland put up a decent fight and trailed by only 6 at the half, but could not keep the momentum going through the second half and fell to the No. 3 Wildcats, 87-63.
Two games in one week, both at home; UK takes the opportunity to capitalize on the home court advantage against Loyola as fans just want it over already so the Cats can play Louisville come New Year’s Eve.
The Wildcats win over the Mocs of Chattanooga in the first of five straight home games. Jones hurt his finger, Lamb almost lost an eye, and no one could stop Davis from dunking.
Coming off a heavy loss to Indiana nearly a week ago, the Wildcats seem prepared to take on University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, tomorrow. Both Kentucky and Chattanooga are well into the season and look forward to meeting on the hardwood.
The scene in Bloomington was red madness and the fans made sure UK knew they were there to support their IU squad. A disappointing outcome for the Wildcats on their first road trip came as Jones failed to do anything, Davis played aggressively and landed four fouls, and Teague struggled in the first half. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist stole the show.
