Karen Sypher is accused of trying to extort University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino, left. However if you are like me some of the legalese used at Sypher's trial sounds like Chinese. So here is my attempt to explain Thursday morning's courtroom proceedings using sports as a backdrop.
