For the past eleven years and in 160 cities across the United States, the Step Out Diabetes walk has become a staple for those looking to aid in support of diabetes research and treatment.
And, Saturday the walk comes to Louisville. Led by local sports legend Darrell Griffith, who will act as the honorary walk chair, the event is an attempt to raise money and awareness for the disease.
We may not be aware, but we have all experienced They Might Be Giants in one form or another. As a child I unknowingly witnessed their work watching Tiny Toons and Malcolm in the Middle and never imagined I’d be coming back to question the entity behind it all. They were still an established band long before this time and have maintained strong output of inventive art that marks them a beloved act by all audiences.
Being relatively new to the city of Louisville I have been in search of things to do. In the process of finding ways to get out and about in a new city, I have taken to exploring some of the local destinations. One location that I have visited several times now, and thoroughly enjoy, is Waterfront Park.

Spring may not have officially sprung in Louisville, but while the beautiful weather lasts, we better take advantage of it. Who knows, we could be stuck in doors all the way to Derby.
