However, in his hands this instrument commands the large band of Ngoni Ba as they oversee packed stadiums and festivals across the globe.
Malian musician Yaya Diallo leads an evening of music and dance Saturday, September 30 at 7:00 at the Wyatt Center for the Arts at Bellarmine University. Special guest performers include Djembe Kala, the “Day and Knight” Bellarmine hip-hop dance group and students from St. Francis of Assisi.
This year marks the seventh annual concert of this kind.
Yaya Diallo, a noted West African musician, author and teacher, will headline an evening of music and dance Saturday, August 28 at 7:00 at the Amy Cralle Theater, Wilson Wyatt Center for the Arts at Bellarmine University, 2001 Newburg Road in the Highlands. Djembe Jala and Bellarmine students will also perform.
