Sights and smells in Sullivan University's Kithcen Theater leaves at least one audience member clamoring for the two-hour taping to end --cause that's when it's sampling time
The Kentucky Derby itself, of course, is just two minutes of one the city's greatest party weekend. Louisville.com dispatched its writers and photographers to bring the party to the Internets. Here are their field reports.
Unbridled Eve has quickly joined the ranks of Louisville's top Kentucky Derby parties. The inaugural gala is tonight, 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the Galt House's Archibald Cochran Room. Tickets are $500 each.
Last night guests at a packed Prime Lounge—including those pictured in the following slideshow—donated more than $2,800 to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. The premise is simple: the jockeys poured Woodford Reserve drinks to the crowd and donated all the tips to the fund.
The 2012 Kentucky Derby Festival began with North America's largest fireworks display and ended with an f bomb heard 'round the Watterson when Cyndi Lauper cussed out a microphone tech at today's Pegasus Parade.
